About Nitrided Screw
Nitriding is a specialized heat treatment technique in which nitrogen is diffused into the surface of metal to form a hardened outer layer. This process significantly improves the durability and lifespan of the component.
Nitrided screws are widely used in plastic processing applications such as injection molding, extrusion molding, and blow molding. The nitriding treatment enhances the screw’s resistance to wear, corrosion, and abrasion, ensuring reliable performance even under demanding operating conditions.
These screws are manufactured using high-quality nitriding steel, typically EN41B, and undergo an extended nitriding process of approximately 72 hours. This treatment produces a hardened surface layer with a hardness range of 65–68 HRC, providing excellent resistance against surface wear.
At Bhagwati Enterprise, nitrided screws are available in a wide range of dimensions to meet various industrial requirements. The screw diameter ranges from 14 mm to 200 mm, with lengths available up to 6 meters, making them suitable for different types of machinery and processing needs.
